Seventh-grader Leah stepped out from behind the stage curtain and presented an empty box to her audience. She placed the lid on top, paused for effect, then lifted it again, revealing a bell that hadn't been there moments before. The audience of her classmates and school administrators gasped in surprise.

On a cold winter day, neighbors and friends gathered around a garage for a band's first concert. Playing a mix of punk and rock, the teenagers raised several hundred dollars to provide clean water to children in Somalia.

A chinchilla's twitching whiskers, a snake's darting tongue, and a tortoise's sharp claws captivated kindergarteners at Pequenakonck Elementary School during an up-close wildlife encounter, sponsored by the PQ PTO.
